What to expect in Therapy:
Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s natural to feel nervous, unsure, or even awkward at first. You might wonder what to say or how I’ll respond — and that’s completely normal. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can truly be yourself.
Therapy with me is client-centred. You decide the pace, tone, language (Farsi or English) and focus of each session. There’s no pressure — this is your journey, and my role is to walk beside you. I believe that simply being allowed to be yourself, fully and authentically, is often the answer to many of life’s problems.
I see therapy as a partnership. Together, we’ll explore your challenges while discovering and nurturing your resilience, values, and unique qualities — your “butterfly” — that may have been hidden or overshadowed. I’ll ask questions, reflect, and offer guidance, always respecting your choices and pace.
Here, you can feel safe to face difficult thoughts and emotions and needs while exploring what matters most to you, and uncover the courage and strength you might not realize you already have. My aim is to help your inner butterfly emerge, so your strengths and potential can fully shine in your life.
Individual Psychotherapy
You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental health disorder to seek individual therapy. Our one-on-one sessions offer a supportive space to work through challenges in your daily life that leave you feeling stressed, worried, frustrated, or overwhelmed. I’ll show up without assumptions and listen without judgment, creating a meaningful connection where you can feel safe to be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what might be contributing to your concerns and discover new perspectives and coping strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
People often seek individual therapy for issues such as:
- Navigating difficult relationships, including your relationship with yourself
- Sadness or depression
- Anxiety or persistent worry
- Repetitive thoughts or actions
- Stress and unmet expectations
- Self-criticism or negative self-talk
- Grief and loss
- Past or current trauma
- Adjusting to life changes and transitions
Fee for a 50-minute individual session: $170

Couple Therapy
In couples therapy, the focus is on the relationship between partners, not just individuals, and the patterns that affect connection, communication, and intimacy. Sessions provide a safe, neutral space where both partners can be heard, understood, and supported. Together, we explore the dynamics in the relationship, uncover underlying emotions, and work toward building a stronger understanding, trust, and collaboration. Sessions may involve both partners together, or occasionally individual sessions to help each person reflect on their needs, feelings, and patterns. My goal is to support both partners in strengthening the relationship while maintaining individual well-being.
Common concerns couples bring to therapy include:
- Communication difficulties and misunderstandings
- Conflict resolution and managing disagreements
- Rebuilding trust after breaches or past hurt
- Balancing individual needs with relationship needs
- Navigating life transitions together
- Managing stress, anxiety, or depression that impacts the relationship
- Addressing intimacy, emotional connection, or sexual challenges
Fee for a 50-minute couples session: $190
Group Therapy
In group therapy, I provide a supportive space for you to connect with others who are navigating similar experiences. In a safe, structured, and confidential environment, you can share, listen, and learn while exploring new ways to cope, grow, and gain perspective. Sessions are guided by me as a trained, experienced psychotherapist, ensuring every participant feels heard, respected, and supported.
Groups can focus on topics such as:
- Stress, anxiety, or mood management
- Building resilience and self-compassion
- Communication and relationship skills
- Personal growth and life transitions
